I use PeriAcryl®90 in my practice as a routine when fixating a collagen bandage, tape or plug after tissue harvesting from the palate or for extraction site management.
This is an excellent adjunct for hemostasis as well as to maintain the blood cot and minimize micro-motion of the graft area.
If I am placing a collagen or PRF plug after an extraction I use PeriAcryl®90 as a liquid bandage around the margin to seal it in and it works very well.
By covering a resorbable membrane with PeriAcryl®90, I can preserve the membrane and protect the graft by using it as a barrier.
When performing a free gingival graft procedure, at times I will use PeriAcryl®90 to help me stabilize the graft. It usually means I use less sutures and perform the procedure faster.
It's great that there is a cyanoacrylate formulated for intra oral use.
